1 February 2013, on the initiative of the Science and Technology Center in Ukraine, the meeting of researchers, professors and students of NTUU KPI, representatives of other universities and research institutions of Ukraine with an investor from Silicon Valley (USA), Mr. Val Jerdes was held in NTUU KPI.

Graduated from Pomona College (B.A.) in International Relations, Stanford University (M.A.) Economics and Public Policy, and the University of Cambridge (Ph.D).
Worked at Apple Computer in Marketing in the early 1990s during the acquisition of Russian handwriting-recognition technology for Apple's Newton product, and then at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Space in their Advanced Technology Group. Co-founded several start-ups in the California Bay Area in the telecommunication and software industry, working with the Silicon Valley venture capital community. In Russia since 2005, working in fund management, venture capital and with several start-ups.
Evgeny Shulgin(34 years old, Israel)
Evgeny has developed several innovative systems for direct and remote control of fast growing and developing companies. He specializes in building international cooperative organizations in different areas, in IT in particular. Evgeny received a Master degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at Bar-Ilan University in Israel, specializing in artificial intelligence algorithms to analyze the American and European financial markets. He also received Master in Business Administration (MBA) at New York Polytechnic University, and specialized in the designing of systems for administration and development of innovations in dynamic companies and IT area.
Up to 2008, Evgeny was Technical Director of an IT Company. He worked in various companies, including "Motorola Israel", "Strategy Runner", "FlashNetworks", and others. Evgeny is the founder of several companies in various fields, such as:
• "ProfiCenter" – training centres under the auspices of the Ministry of Immigrant Absorption of Israel; • RED-SOU – Byelorussian-Israeli outsourcing IT company; • "Info Plus" – publishing house which got a right from the Ministry of Tourism of Israel to publish the official travel guides for Russian tourists.
Today Evgeny represents an Israeli game company, a world leader, in the entire territory of Ukraine, and also manages two centres of IT development in Ukraine which produce networking products of the higher level of complexity, and which have been ranked first in the world play rankings for some years running. Evgeny's domain in Ukraine is, first, creation of a new system of innovation management in Ukraine and establishment of a bilateral Israel – Ukraine investment institution; second, designing of programmes for development of capabilities of the human mind and of technologies for intellectual growth, formation of scientific research teams to solve problems at this level.
